Japanese Wooden Sake Cup Sakazuki
This is an antique Japanese wooden lacquered sake cup, Sakazuki. It is vermilion with a gold design. Inside the cup is a picture of Ho-Oh and the Kanji letters. The back of the cup also has the Kanji letters. Sakazuki refers specifically to flat sake cups. Ochoko is a small cup that can be used to drink sake in one or two sips. Guinomi is a cup large enough to fit your nose when drinking sake.
